Merle Haggard (1937-2016) was an American nation music singer, songwriter, guitarist, and fiddler. He’s broadly thought of one of the influential and profitable nation music artists of all time.
Haggard’s music was usually characterised by its conventional nation sound, in addition to its themes of working-class life, patriotism, and private struggles. He wrote lots of his personal songs, together with a few of his most well-known hits, equivalent to “Okie from Muskogee,” “Mama Tried,” and “The Fightin’ Facet of Me.”
